PSA Announces Updated Estimated Turnaround Times (Nov 2025)
On November 20, 2025, Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) introduced new estimated turnaround times for its grading and authentication services. According to PSA’s announcement, turnaround times will now be measured from the moment an order arrives at a PSA facility rather than when it is unboxed and itemized (www.psacard.com). PSA explains that this change is designed to provide collectors with a clearer picture of how long their items spend in PSA’s system and may result in longer published estimates even though the process itself hasn’t slowed down (www.psacard.com). The update applies to all PSA service categories except autograph‑only authentication, tickets, and media items such as video games, DVDs, CDs and Blu‑rays (www.psacard.com).
PSA’s announcement included a breakdown of the new estimates across multiple service levels. For cards, the estimated turnaround times increased as follows (www.psacard.com):
- TCG Bulk and Value Bulk: 65 business days → 95 business days.
- Value: 45 business days → 75 business days.
- Value Plus: 25 business days → 40 business days.
- Value Max: 20 business days → 30 business days.
- Regular: 15 business days → 20 business days.
- Express: 10 business days → 15 business days.
- Super Express: 5 business days → 7 business days.
- Walkthrough and Premium: 5 business days → 7 business days.
For packs, the Value tier moved from 90 to 125 business days and Economy from 65 to 85 business days, while Express (45 days) and Premium (30 days) remained unchanged (www.psacard.com).
For comics and magazines, Modern increased from 35 to 40 business days; Modern Plus from 15 to 20; Vintage from 45 to 50; Vintage Plus from 20 to 25; High Value from 10 to 15; and Express, Super Express, Walkthrough and Premium services now range from 10 to 15 business days (www.psacard.com).
PSA noted that the updated estimates reflect ongoing high demand for grading services in 2025. They are expanding their grading team and opening new facilities to improve overall turnaround times (www.psacard.com). Collectors should use these updated estimates when planning submissions and transactions.
