White Glove Pre-Grading Service: Our 5-Step Process
At Nostalgic Avenue, we offer a white glove pre-grading service designed to give your cards the best possible chance at a high grade. Our experienced team handles each card with the utmost care, cleaning and evaluating it before it ever reaches a grading company. Here’s how it works.
Step 1: Gentle Cleaning We carefully wipe down the surfaces of your cards using a scratch-free microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints, smudges, and residue that could impact the grade.
Step 2: Detailed Evaluation Under professional lighting and magnification, we examine centering, edges, corners, and surface. We look for imperfections like soft corners, rough edges, scratches or dimples. Your card receives individual scores for each factor on a 10-point scale, and we record our observations in a private database.
Step 3: Safe Packaging After evaluation, each card is placed into a plastic sleeve and then a semi-rigid card saver, ensuring it is protected and ready for submission.
Step 4: Transparent Recommendations Through a private link, you can view the results of our evaluation including individual sub-grades and notes on each card. Based on condition, scarcity and potential return, we provide a recommendation on whether to submit the card for grading and which company might suit it best. Ultimately, you decide which cards to grade.
Step 5: Submission & Updates Once you’ve selected the cards you’d like to grade, we handle the submission process for you. We keep you updated on the status of your order and, once graded, ship your newly slabbed cards back to you safely and securely.
